Everything Beautiful,
in Its Time
The story of a ring, a life, and the beauty of connection.
Some of my favorite pieces begin long before we ever discuss gemstones or design. They begin with a conversation.
Carrie and I spent hours together imagining a ring that would tell her story. We talked about twenty years of marriage, children, family, gardens, and the many seasons of a life shared. We explored the symbolism of serpents, jaguars, and stars—creatures and celestial details that evoke strength, transformation, protection, and the passage of time.
At the heart of the design is a magnificent natural blue sapphire, sourced through one of my trusted gemstone dealers. Surrounded by luminous rose-cut diamonds, the sapphire sits above an intricate world of sculptural gold serpents, jaguars, and tiny stars. Each detail was thoughtfully considered, bringing together old-world craftsmanship and a deeply personal expression of Carrie's life.
In an age when almost anything can be imagined instantly through technology, I find myself increasingly drawn to the beauty of creating something together. The hours spent listening, sharing stories, sketching, and discovering what feels meaningful. These moments of human connection are what give my work its purpose.
There is something beautiful about the idea that life unfolds in seasons. Love deepens, families grow, gardens bloom and fade, and time transforms us. I wanted this ring to capture that feeling—not as a symbol of one particular moment, but as a celebration of everything that has come before and everything still to come.
Jewelry has an extraordinary ability to outlive us. It carries the stories of who we were, whom we loved, and the lives we created. Long after the moments themselves have passed, something tangible remains.
Everything beautiful, in its time.
