Heather Soicher

Heather Soicher is a ceramic artist whose work is rooted in nature, nourishment, and the joy of gathering. Raised in Monterey by artist parents, she has been immersed in clay since high school, drawn to its dual role in human history as both functional and sacred. With a degree in Anthropology, Heather explores the timeless connection between culture and craft, embracing the beauty found in clay’s limitations and endless possibilities.

Her creations range from functional pieces for the kitchen and table to more whimsical works, including her enchanting “Birds of Wisdom”—a series of owls that each carry a scroll offering words of guidance. Every piece reflects her deep love of artistry, community, and the rituals that bring people together.
